Deepa Lalla is Vice President, Evidence Generation, Publications and Partnerships team in Oncology Global Medical Affairs at AstraZeneca. The team is responsible for articulating the value of the AZ Oncology Portfolio by generating and communication impactful evidence and developing meaningful scientific partnerships.
Deepa joined AstraZeneca in May 2022. Before that she was at Puma
Biotechnology. For the last 3 years there, she led the Medical Affairs function, most recently as SVP Medical Affairs. In this role, she formulated and implemented strategies that resulted in impactful, aligned tactics for all functions within Medical Affairs. Deepa started her career at Amgen and then spent 8 years at Genentech before leading a boutique consulting firm from 2013-2017. Deepa is a pharmacist by training (University of Poona, India), and has her PhD in Health Outcomes Research from the University of South Carolina.
