About me
Hassan is the Senior Director of Value-Based Partnerships in the Commercial Digital Health group at AstraZeneca (AZ). He plays a pivotal role in exploiting digital technologies to realize the company’s disease therapy aspirations through partnerships with the healthcare ecosystem. This work spans across markets and business units, including Oncology and Biopharmaceuticals.
Before taking on his current role, Hassan led the Global Digital Health Strategy for AZ’s Oncology Business Unit, concentrating on digital health interventions throughout the patient treatment journey. His expertise in commercialization is not limited to the pharmaceutical industry. As the former Director of Corporate Partnerships at Johns Hopkins University, he was instrumental in commercializing technologies and fostering corporate collaborations in the digital, life sciences, and medical device sectors. Prior to Johns Hopkins, Hassan spearheaded commercialization efforts in digital health, radiomics, therapeutics, and precision diagnostics at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and previously at Cleveland Clinic Innovations.
Hassan also serves in several advisory roles for industry organizations, including BIO and AUTM (Association of University Technology Managers). He is an active member of the program committee for the BIO International Convention and has chaired the programming committee for the AUTM Annual Meeting from 2017 to 2020.
In his spare time, Hassan enjoys flying and would love to take you on a flight in a 1978 Piper Cherokee.
