About me
Lynnea Olivarez is a savvy life science communicator with experience spanning industry, agency and government. She recently founded the global biopharma communicator community Ticket to Biotech (T2B) after 15 years driving impactful communications across the drug development lifecycle. T2B brings together life science comms practitioners of all kinds, at all levels to address our distinctive challenges by sharing on-the-job insights and resources, learning from each other, and in turn, improving our craft while paying it forward to the next generation.
Lynnea previously established the corporate communications function as a VP at gene therapy company Encoded Therapeutics. Before that, she was recognized in PR News’ Annual Top Women in PR Awards in 2020 for her work at gene editing leader Intellia Therapeutics, where she managed internal and external affairs and patient advocacy. Lynnea also guided strategic communications for dozens of clients at PR firms Ten Bridge Communications and MacDougall Advisors. Earlier in her career, she led mar-comm for the Massachusetts Life Sciences Center and global IT communications at Novartis Biomedical Research. A summa cum laude Northeastern University graduate, Lynnea is 2024 president of the Public Relations Society of America SF Bay Area Chapter, and incoming chair of the American Society of Gene and Cell Therapy Communications Committee.
