About me
Stephanie Yao is a strategic communications leader with more than 20 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical, federal government and healthcare non-profit industries. She currently serves as senior vice president, investor relations and corporate communications at Bicycle Therapeutics, where she leads corporate communications, investor relations, media relations, and stakeholder engagement.
Over the course of her career, Stephanie has shaped narratives and overseen strategic communications for both public and private organizations in various stages of growth, from newly public to clinical stage to early commercial, and through a variety of milestones, including IPOs, clinical trial results, regulatory approvals, and product launches. Stephanie’s leadership is marked by her ability to develop impactful communications strategies that resonate with diverse audiences, and her expertise spans a broad range of therapeutic areas, with a more recent focus on oncology, genetic medicines, hematology, and rare diseases.
Stephanie holds a master’s degree in communications from RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia, and a bachelor’s degree in public relations from the University of Florida. Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, she now calls Washington, D.C., home.
