About me
Vangelis has been working in the intersection of healthcare, technology, and data science for more than 15 years.
He started his career as a consultant at McKinsey and at Hakluyt, where he spent twelve years advising biopharmaceutical executives on several topics - particularly in launching drugs across disease areas, and in designing and implementing their commercial models and infrastructure.
Immediately prior to Epikast, Vangelis was the co-founder and CEO of Intelligencia, a software company that utilizes AI to assess and reduce the risk of clinical trials. He currently serves as a board advisor to the company.
He serves as a member of the External Review Committee for the Technology Development Fund at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and he previously served as a founding board member and member of the executive committee at the Alliance for AI in Healthcare (AAIH), and as member of the dean's advisory board for Cornell's Bowers College of Computing & Information Science (CIS).
Vangelis holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, and a BS in Computer Science from Cornell University.
